Boost management is a dynamic skill that balances offense, defense, and positioning. Properly managing your boost allows you to maintain control, make critical plays, and adapt to the changing flow of the game, giving you a competitive edge.

  • Here are key principles and tips for boost management

  • Collect small Boost Pads

  • Boost pads are scattered across the field. Collecting these smaller boost pads is essential for maintaining a steady supply of boost. Pay attention to their locations and make a habit of collecting them as you move around.
  • Collect Boost While Rotating

  • As you rotate back to your goal or change positions on the field, make an effort to collect boost pads along your path. This ensures you maintain a steady supply while staying involved in the play.
  • Use Boost Sparingly

  • Don't waste boost on unnecessary maneuvers. Boost should be reserved for critical situations, such as offensive plays, aerials, and quick recoveries. When performing aerial maneuvers, use just enough boost to reach the ball while maintaining control. Overusing boost can lead to overcommitment and difficulty in landing.
  • Momentum Management

Boost Management can also be thought of as momentum management. The less efficent you are at Recoveries the more boost you will use. Choosing when to slow down and using flips to speed up instead of boost are core fundementals to momentum.
